InlandPolitics: Feds end Ohio-based probe of Sheriff’s Department

There’s a tidbit of good news for the battered and bruised San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

The Department of Justice has ended a probe into the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s actions, which led to the unraveling of a long-running investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), after significant federal resources and time were invested.

Sources report that no action will be forthcoming against those involved.

The investigation was being conducted before a federal grand jury in Ohio.
